The Chilean Meteorological Directorate (DMC) issued a new alert for the next 48 hours in the Los Ríos region, due to rain, winds and snowfall.
According to the agency, starting this Monday, June 17, normal to moderate snowfall will be recorded in a short period of time in the region’s mountain range.
New normal to moderate rainfall will also be recorded on the coast, coastal mountain range, valley and foothills, adding to this winds of normal to moderate intensity on the coast and coastal mountain range.
Likewise, the National Geology and Mining Service (Sernageomin) warns about the eventual occurrence of mass removals on the coast, coastal mountain range, valley and foothills of the region.
Due to the above and the increased risk posed by these alerts, the Presidential Delegation of Los Ríos, together with the regional management of Senapred, have updated the Preventive Early Warningwhich has been in force since June 3 and until conditions warrant it.
