The Show Car will make its formal presentation this Tuesday at the Convention Center starting at 11 in the morning, where the return to Gualeguaychú will be announced. From the organizers of the event they advanced THE ARGENTINIANthat this massive event, which this year celebrates its twelfth edition, “is much more than an exhibition of modified cars: it is a true spectacle that fuses the creativity of tuning enthusiasts with music,” and that “An attendance of 20,000 people is expected” in the new November edition.

“From the organization we not only believe that it is a great car show, but that it is an experience that unites people of all ages and nationalities around a common passion: modified cars. It has a great economic impact because it moves around 20,000 people and that can be reflected in hotels, gastronomy, and local businesses,” said one of the car show producers.

From classic cars to the most modern ones with extreme modifications to their exterior and interior, the Showcar is a multi-brand meeting of vehicles, where all types of car brands are found, without leaving any of them out. Pneumatic suspensions that allow the height of the vehicle to be adjusted, changes to sports tires and personalized plots that transform the original colors of the cars, are just some of the innovations they see in this type of meetings.

The transfer to Gualeguaychú

The event was originally held in Santa Terista, Partido de la Costa. Given the great growth in participants, they began to project the idea of another location. “We decided to take it off the coast because the event was very big and the city was too small for us. It was that we decided to look for new directions, other borders, and for people in common who knew Gualeguaychú, and that is how the transfer took place in 2022, which was the first time we were able to hold the show in Gualeguaychú,” stated the organizers.

Typical things found at these types of events are low-riding cars, which are modified in such a way to make them look with that certain characteristic. “At the meeting you will find classic cars, others modified, both inside and outside, but there will also be a vehicle sound competition, and also the typical low cars, without having pneumatic suspension, which is also another culture. Everything perhaps copied from other countries, but the reality is that here in Argentina we have very nice cars with a lot of money invested on them and that we obviously love to show off,” he explained of one of the organizers.

Lastly, the event not only attracts local fans, but also has a strong international presence. “People come from other neighboring countries such as Uruguay, Brazil and Chile, where the tuning culture is also becoming very strong, demonstrating the influence and passion that this culture awakens throughout the region,” highlighted the producers of the Show Car.
