For Father’s Day, attendance at SLP cemeteries increased by 20%

During Sunday, June 16, on the occasion of the Father’s daythe municipal cemeteries in the capital, had an increase in attendance of 20 percent, as announced by Christian Azuara Azuara, director of Municipal Services of San Luis Potosí.

Between flowers and plastic or paper arrangements, the people of Potosí went to the cemeteries of El Saucito, Españita and Milpillaslocated in the capital city, with the aim of decorating the graves of fathers who left this world, to remember them and celebrate Father’s Day with the family.

He explained that in total there were about 10 thousand visitors in the three cemeteries of the municipality, of which the Directorate of Municipal Services is in charge, of which the majority was concentrated in the El Saucito Funerary Museum and Pantheon, located in the Saucito neighborhood of the city.

“We have permanent cleaning work, people leave happy to see a space in good condition, clean and we work on operations to avoid crowds,” highlighted the municipal official.

Despite the large influx of 800 people in the Españita cemetery, 120 in Milpillas and 9,500 people in El Saucito, Cristian Azuara, highlighted that it is on Mother’s Day, when more people from Potosí go to the cemeteries of the capital to honor the memory of the mothers who have already departed, however, there was a increase compared to past years during this holiday.
