From June 10 to 14, at the Miter de Concordia School, the training week was held for rectors and vice-rectors of the coast of Uruguay. More than 80 educational leaders from the region participated in this initiative to strengthen strategic management and pedagogical leadership skills.

The activity is part of the “Network of Schools that Transform” program, an alliance between the General Council of Education (CGE), the Banco Entre Ríos Foundation and the Petersen Group Foundations, which aims to promote quality and educational innovation at the level secondary school of the province.
“We continue to address one of the priority policy axes of our management, which is the transformation of secondary schools; we believe in collaboration and teamwork. We know that to form a committed network of schools, it is essential to train our rectors and vice-rectors,” highlighted the president of the CGE, Alicia Fregonese.
“We are proud of the commitment shown by the Entre Ríos rectors and vice-rectors in this program. Seeing them work as a team with so much enthusiasm is our greatest achievement,” said Cecilia Hancevic, General Coordinator of the Petersen Group Foundations.
During the training week, participants worked on an innovative proposal that included ten work modules inspired by theoretical and practical resources for strategic management and pedagogical leadership. Recreational group dynamics, analysis of proposals, support of the school strategic team, data management and development of an institutional improvement plan were carried out.
“The role of the management team is fundamental to guide the teaching and learning processes in the classrooms, providing responses to the needs of the students and contributing to the construction of a more solid society for our future,” said Omar Osuna, Secondary Director. of the CGE.
“This training is essential to strengthen leadership in group management and in all areas related to the transformation of secondary education in our department,” highlighted the Departmental Director of Concordia Schools, Julio Ramón Barrios.
The initiative also had the support of strategic partners such as Molinos San José, Petropack Foundation, La Agrícola Regional (LAR), Matic Soluciones Educativas, Laboratorios Lafedar, Automotores MEGA and ENSA.
