From Cali to the world! Applications are now open for the third cycle of the Open Window Call for National and International Circulation

• From June 18 to July 3, 2024, artists from our city will be able to participate in the Open Window Call for National and International Circulation, in the third of four cycles that will be held during this period.
  
• In this third cycle, the Ventanilla Abierta will have an investment of $250 million to support artists who will participate in different national or international cultural stages.

Santiago de Cali, June 18, 2024

More Cali artists will have the opportunity to make their work known to the entire world, the Cali Culture Secretariat opened registration for cycle three (3) of the Open Window Call for National and International Circulation of the 2024 Stimulus Program.

This call seeks to promote the circulation of products at a national and international level that project and promote different expressions through concerts, festivals, fairs, contests, exhibitions and academic events, in which our knowledge and artistic experiences can be transmitted in the different scenarios around the world.

The competitive prize is worth $250 million and the artists who benefit will be able to travel and participate in cultural events established between July 26 and September 30, 2024 at a national or international level.

Starting June 17 and until July 3, 2024, interested parties may apply in the following categories:

1. Category Adults.
   
2. Small and Young Talents Category. In this range, we seek to strengthen the talent of boys and girls between 9 and 17 years of age.
   
3. Festival Winners Category. As its name indicates, it seeks to support the talents who have participated and won in the festivals held by the Ministry of Culture, to strengthen and promote the circulation process of these artists who have been recognized for their artistic quality and performance in the competitions. and that they can continue with their artistic and recognition cycle.

“From the Ministry of Culture we continue to bet on the talent of our artists and with them move culture towards the transformation of the city that we dream of on an artistic level. The projection of Cali artists at a national and international level is a crucial part of the work, which is why continuing with the commitment to open new opportunities for many artists and cultural managers who promote Cali culture from different expressions, the third version of the Open Window Call for National and International Circulation,” said Leydi Higidio, Secretary of Culture of Cali.”

It is important to highlight that, in its two previous versions, with an investment close to four hundred and fifty-five million pesos ($455,000,000), 117 artists have been supported to circulate nationally in cities such as Bogotá, Medellín, Nuquí and Florence; and internationally in countries such as Peru, Paraguay, United States, Poland, Spain, Cuba, France, United Kingdom, among others.

This call is part of the Stimulus 2024 Program, which has a historic budget of more than $4.5 billion, the highest in the last five years, and which seeks new ways to guarantee sustainable and dignified conditions in the processes developed in the territory, covering different expressions, disciplines and artistic practices.
