Jota Dalel Meche Dedils, 34 years old, voluntarily appeared before the authorities to comply with a court order related to the crime of homicide. The case revolves around the tragic death of Javier Ortiz, popularly known as “Chorote.”
According to the information provided by the authorities, the incident occurred during a fight in a guarapería in the municipality of Támara. Elkin Ortiz, victim of this unfortunate event, died on May 29 of this year in the local clinic due to wounds caused by a knife, allegedly inflicted by the now captured, MECHE.
The notification of the court order was carried out by the SIJIN in Paz de Ariporo, in coordination with the Yopal Sectional Prosecutor’s Office 08, with the support of the CTI and the National Army.
Elkin Ortiz, a well-known figure in the municipality of Támara, stood out for his physical strength and dedication to various tasks. His presence was relevant in the agricultural and livestock work of the municipality. The inhabitants of this picturesque coffee-growing municipality remember him as a hard-working person, always willing to serve the community.
