Demo Day at Ecoterráneo: Aysén’s entrepreneurial talent takes a step forward

Local entrepreneurs present their projects before an expert jury in a decisive instance for their business future

Puerto Aysén.- A new and important stage of Demo Day, entrepreneurs from different parts of the region faced each other in the Regional Business Incubator, financed by Corfo and Geogama.
This event took place in the rooms of Ecoterráneo Patagonia Cowork, who for the second consecutive year are carrying out this initiative, bringing together a significant number of people with established businesses and others with innovative ideas.
Despite the nervousness, the encouragement of their monitors, teachers and classmates, together with recreational activities for relaxation and participation, allowed each participant to arrive calmly to present before the jury.
Marcela Vidal, Manager of Ecoterráneo, highlighted the high level of participation and interest of the entrepreneurs in continuing to advance in the business incubator and explained the essence of the Demo Day, which “is an instance where entrepreneurs who have spent two months in classes present the progress of their projects, showing how innovative they are before a jury that evaluates them to advance to the next stages of the program. We have entrepreneurs from Puerto Cisnes, Coyhaique, Puerto Aysén, Villa Mañihuales, Puerto Chacabuco, among other locations, who meet here in Aysén, in Ecoterráneo, to present their projects,” commented Vidal.
María José Becker from Puerto Cisnes, who learned about Ecoterráneo’s work while reporting for local radio, shared her experience indicating that “it is super important. I went as a radio station to take photos and began to see that you can create your own business. Here they teach you from the base, understanding the client’s needs to generate a solution.”
For her part, Antonieta Lendway from Coyhaique valued the opportunity to improve her entrepreneurial skills, describing it as “spectacular, because the possibility of learning how to improve your product and sell it better does not always happen. Here they teach you how to promote and identify your star product.”
Felipe Moreno from Puerto Aysén gave a positive assessment of his participation, detailing that “for us, Ecoterráneo has been a very entertaining experience. “We have had good quality speakers who have provided us with new concepts to develop our product.”
After the presentations before the jury, the entrepreneurs, together with the Geogama and Ecoterráneo team, shared a moment of camaraderie, socializing and sharing details of their businesses and initiatives that will materialize in different parts of the Aysén region.
The Demo Day demonstrates the commitment of Corfo Aysén and Geogama to the development of local ventures, supporting innovation and talent in the Region.
