Another route such as the one from Antilla to the capital city of Holguín is reestablished after being interrupted since mid-2023, as was the case with Pinar del Río-Habana, Guantámo-Holguín and soon Sancti Spíritus-Habana.

The Minister of Transportation Eduardo Rodríguez Dávila in his Facebook profile explains that this train will circulate from Antilla to Alto Cedro on the Antilla branch, on the Central Line to Cacocum and finally on the Holguín branch to the main municipality.

The train links the communities located between the municipalities of Antilla and Holguín along this route.

It will operate Monday, Wednesday and Friday, leaving Antilla at 4:15 am and returning the same day from Holguín at 4:20 pm. The approximate duration of the trip will be 3 hours and 50 minutes, with 33 stops.

It will have a medium-sized locomotive, 5 cars with a capacity of 340 passengers and an express car to transport packages. The service will have a maximum price from origin to destination of $82.00, and the rate system for intermediate sections will apply.

Other service reactivations

Since May 13, a train has been running on Mondays and Thursdays, leaving at 9:00 am from the Pinar del Río station, and will return on Tuesdays and Fridays from Havana, leaving at the “November 19” station in Tulipán at 11:00 am. :00 am. CONTINUE LEGEND
