The Municipal Administration Council in Guantánamo, wishes to inform the population and especially those regular users of the services and activities provided at the Pedro A. Pérez Polifunctional Plaza, as part of the sociocultural project that is being developed there, promoted and represented by the Municipal Directorate of Culture, which after a thorough evaluation of the progress of the project and the importance that the space has acquired for the recreation of our population; It was decided in an extraordinary meeting on June 16 to temporarily suspend the activities linked to the economic actors that interact in the area, with the aim of reorganizing its operation with a view to guaranteeing a varied sociocultural programming and better organization of the space. .
This does not limit the development of cultural activities programmed by the Directorate of Culture and with approval of the municipal and provincial Recreation Commissions, such as the XI Elio Revé Matos Changüí National Festival, which will be held in the city from June 27 to 30. as part of the start of Summer 2024.
