06/19/2024. More than a hundred children who are studying fourth grade at Hogar Escuela N°4660 “Carmen Puch de Güemes” promised to defend, respect and love the national symbol created by General Manuel Belgrano 212 years ago.

The lieutenant governor Antonio Marocco took the pledge of loyalty to the flag to more than a hundred 4th grade students from Home School No. 4660 “Carmen Puch de Güemes.” She did it together with the 1st vice president of the Chamber of Deputies, Veronica Saicha.

When addressing the students, in an assembly hall with a large attendance of parents, family members, teachers and school directors, Marocco highlighted Education as one of the pillars of the provincial government’s management. “It is a public service that can be provided in two ways, through the State or privately, to provide tools to you that are the present and the future,” he highlighted.

Central acts

This Thursday from 10 a.m. in the Historic Field of La Cruz, the main events will be held for Flag Day and the 204th anniversary of the death of General Manuel Belgrano.

The activities will begin with the presentation of the trained troops and later the authorities will move to the monument to General Manuel Belgrano where they will lay floral offerings and the touch of silence will be performed.

After singing the Argentine National Anthem and performing the religious invocation, the promise of loyalty to the flag will be taken from the students of different educational institutions in the Capital.

Then, the commander of the Vth Mountain Brigade Ricardo Fresta will take the oath to the trained troops. The events will end with the traditional parade.
