The grouping The Tones will be presented this Friday, June 21 at exactly 7:30 p.m. at the facilities of the Federico Silva Museumto offer his concert called “Excélsior: Gregorian and not so Gregorian chants”, which will have free admission for all the public who wish to attend.
The Tones is called a “supposedly male” ensemble, a group that is directed by the maestro Homar Sánchez Díaz and members of the Vuela Alto choir, who will make a pleasant and unforgettable evening for all those present.
At the concert there will be a exploration of the capabilities of the male voicethrough the interpretation of contemporary repertoires of high vocal demand and ancient and world music.

Homar Sánchez points out that this concert is a musical journey about vocal music a cappella across time and cultures, beginning with Gregorian chants that began the musical tradition of the West and about how they developed to the music we have today.
Furthermore, it promises that Excelsior is a relaxed and fun concert that seeks to teach through music and the histrionics of its members the origins of the music that we all know.
The group The Tones is directed by Mr. Homar Sánchez, The Tone mayor, while the members of the Vuela Alto choir better known as The tone-citos are: Miguel Rentería, Countertenor/Tenor; Darío González Tenor; Arturo Gaytán, Tenor.
