LOGROÑO, June 21. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The services sector of La Rioja increased its turnover by 17.2 percent last April compared to the same period of the previous year, 8.4 points more than the national average, which was 8.8 percent, as reported the National Institute of Statistics (INE).

The services sector increased in all autonomous communities in April with La Rioja (+17.20 percent), Castilla – La Mancha (+13.40 percent) and Andalusia (+12.00 percent) leading the way, while On the opposite side were Aragón (4.40 percent), the Balearic Islands (6.10 percent) and Madrid (6.20 percent).

So far this year, the billing of the services sector has grown by 13.2 percent in La Rioja, 10.6 points more than the national average (2.6 percent).

For its part, the employment index in the services sector experienced a variation of 2.05 percent in La Rioja compared to the same month of the previous year.

The annual rate of the employment index was positive in all communities with Murcia registering the best data, 3.49 percent more, and Extremadura the worst, with an increase of 0.55 percent.
