The National Tax and Customs Directorate (Dian) This Friday, 19 commercial establishments closed in various areas of Bogotáincluding Bosa, Mártires, Barrios Unidos, Kennedy, Cedritos and El Dorado International Airport.

This year, Dian has already closed 24 businesses in the capital for the same reason. The measures are taken after following the corresponding administrative procedure and are part of the campaigns of the Bogotá Sectional Directorate of Taxes.

Among the businesses closed by Dian in Bogotá is the famous Piqueteadero Doña Segunda, located in the Plaza de Mercado 12 de Octubre. This traditional business, known for its exquisite food and with more than 60 years of history, will have to temporarily close its doors.

The owner of the picket yard, Doña Segunda, told national media that she had already implemented electronic billing, according to Dian’s instructions, and questioned the process that led to the closure of her premises.

“They asked for electronic billing, that’s it. It causes me a lot of pain and I don’t know how to say it. Why do they take me out for news if I am not evading taxes, I am not doing harm to the Government, I am not taking anything from anyone? It seems strange to me that they take me out for news, not even a person who does harm to people does that,” he told Noticias Caracol.
