With a complaint, Sarabia’s advisor denies being in an illegal contracting network

Jaime Ramírez Cobo, one of the advisors of Laura Sarabia, director of the Administrative Department of the Presidency (Dapre), reported to the Prosecutor’s Office the “false” accusations that link him and his partner Daniela Valencia to being part of an illegal hiring network. with congressmen and public officials. This is reported by El Colombiano.

“Dark propaganda, understood as the strategy based on the systematic dissemination of false, inaccurate, distorted and harmful information, unfortunately is frequently used as a strategic tool in the dynamics of power in Colombia,” says the complaint, also filed by Valencia.

The complaint has a Prosecutor’s Office filing number, but does not yet have an assigned prosecutor.

The accusations circulate in some chats. According to El Colombiano, a chain of chats point to Cobo, Laura Sarabia’s brother, Andrés Sarabia, and Valencia – who was also vice president of Derived Contracting at Fiduprevisora a few months ago – of managing said contracting network.

Such accusations, which supposedly came from someone in the president’s circle, accuse them of maneuvering to deliver and direct contracts in various entities. He also mentions businessmen David Cure and Carlos Niño.

But there is no proof. The chats are only on-air complaints, for now, and revolve around conversations between congressmen and senior government officials. President Gustavo Petro and Laura Sarabia already know about the accusations and the complaint filed with the Prosecutor’s Office.
