By order of Attorney General Luz Adriana Camargo, an investigation was opened after the complaint about alleged illegal interceptions and monitoring to one of the offices of the magistrates of the Constitutional Court.

The Attorney General’s Office, through a statement released this Saturday, June 22, reported that the investigation was in charge of the Delegated Prosecutors Unit before the Supreme Court of Justice.

In recent days, prosecutor Camargo met with the nine magistrates of the Plenary Chamber of the Constitutional Court and, in that meeting, it was decided know the serious complaint.

“The attorney general arranged all the resources available to the entity to advance with speed and rigor in investigative acts that allow us to establish the scope and impact of the delicate situation reported last Wednesday,” the statement reads.

Furthermore, it was revealed that prosecutor Camargo rejected that there are leaks in this case.

“Taking into account that our communication policy is inform citizens in a clear, timely and transparent mannerunder conditions of equality to all media, the Attorney General’s Office categorically rejects any suggestion of deliberate or improper leak that affects the safety, protection and integrity of both the complainants and their families, as well as the investigations that by nature “They must be reserved,” the document indicates.

In that sense, the Prosecutor’s Office concluded by warning that “it’s false that the office of the Attorney General of the Nation has disclosed the signed document by one of the magistrates of the Constitutional Court.”
