In a symbolic day full of spirituality and moving connection with nature, the traditional celebration of Inti Raymi (Festival of the Sun) took place this Saturday in the Pueblo Perdido de la Quebrada. The event, headed by Juan Carlos Allosa or Hualán Lu, chief of the Kakán Putquial Community of Andalgalá, along with authorities from other communities, attracted the participation of a multitude of tourists and residents in a unique meeting of culture and tradition.

The experience included the ascent to the archaeological site and the performance of ancestral rituals typical of the aforementioned festival. Song, dance and communion with nature were mixed in a spiritual spiral that marked the celebration of the winter solstice for the southern hemisphere, coinciding with the indigenous new year.

According to Allosa, ceremonial leader, “it is a celebration that has been carried out by all indigenous peoples for at least 5 thousand years. One of the rites we perform, for example, is hugging the tree, which means connecting with our creation. In the Andean worldview, Pacha has a very deep and broader meaning than we know: it is time, place, space, universe, everything is creation in general; and we make the connection through the tree, imagining that we are leaving. into the depths of the earth.”

Ceremony

During the ceremony, the participants expressed their deep emotion by getting involved in each ritual moment. Patricia, a tourist from the February 3 match, Buenos Aires, shared her experience: “It is the first time I participate. I came one way and I leave another. I am totally connected with the spiritual; it is something inside that feels very renewing; I have a great joy. I came to know this province and this city, which is beautiful and picturesque, with very cordial and empathetic people.

Elba, another visitor from the province of Buenos Aires, added excitedly: “The celebration was beautiful because I felt peace and tranquility. “I’m going to spread it with my friends and relatives so they can get to know the city and live this experience.”
