The mayor of Venado Tuerto, Leonel Chiarella, once again exposed a dangerous criminal from Venado Tuerto with a photo, name and surname. This time, it is Jonatan “El Jeringoso” Castillo, who in the last few hours was arrested and remanded in preventive detention after being charged with “resistance to authority, possession of narcotics for marketing purposes, simple threat and concealment.”

Chiarella maintained that Castillo has multiple records of robberies and use of firearms, with a significant number of victims in the city. “He is now in prison thanks to the work of the provincial police, the Regional Prosecutor’s Office headed by Horacio Puyrredón and the Venada judges,” said the mayor.

The president stressed that “we are going to continue showing the faces of the criminals, giving their first and last name so that the entire region knows who they are” and that he will continue “firm” in the fight against crime. “Not a step back with the violent ones,” said Chiarella.

Recently, the mayor of Venado Tuerto exposed another dangerous criminal, Maximiliano Ríos, alias “Wacho Maxi”, a member of a drug gang who was arrested with drugs, more than half a million pesos and ammunition in his car. In addition, he testified in the trial against drug trafficker Nahuel Novellino, within the framework of the case that investigates the threats suffered by the president in January 2023.

Previously, he had denounced Matías “El Bicho” Álvarez, a drug criminal from Venado who was sentenced to 15 years accused of leading an important criminal gang that operated in Venado Tuerto and southern Santa Fe.

“These are the people who ruin our society and have to be imprisoned. “They are responsible and masterminds of many crimes, robberies, shootings, extortions and threats that different public officials receive.”Chiarella said.

And he added: “This is the way in which we understand public function and politics, going forward in the fight against drug trafficking and without qualms against crime because politics does not have to have privileges, the responsibility that we have is very big”.

Finally, Chiarella insisted: “We are going to continue working in this way, denouncing with photo, name, surname, publicly and before the Justice, those who sell drugs and those who commit crimes in Venado Tuerto.”
