PRESIDENT OF TIMOR LESTE DEMANDED ELIMINATION OF HOSTILITY AGAINST CUBA

The president of Timor Leste, José Ramos-Horta, urged the United States Government to definitively stop its unjust sanctions against Cuba. Through a letter, he called on Congress and the US administration “to reverse all sanctions, engage in dialogue with Cuba and normalize relations.” Ramos-Horta stated that his country disagrees with the arbitrary inclusion of the Caribbean nation in the list of countries that supposedly sponsor terrorism. SHOOTING IN THE UNITED STATES LEAVES THREE DEAD AND TEN INJURED

At least three people were killed and around ten were injured in a shooting in the US state of Arkansas. The director of the local Police, Mike Hagar, reported that among the injured were two police officers and the alleged attacker. The shooting occurred in a grocery store in the town of Fordyce, a city located 112 kilometers south of the state capital, Little Rock. The governor of Arkansas, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, stated that she had been informed of the shooting, and that investigations are being carried out to find out the reasons for the attack. (Telesur)

SERIES OF ATTACKS IN COLOMBIA LEAVE AT LEAST THREE DEAD AND 13 INJURED

Colombia registered a series of attacks that left at least three dead and around 13 injured in the north and southwest of the South American country. The most serious occurred in the town of Taminango, in the department of Nariño, where a car bomb exploded near a police station. A police officer and a woman died in the incident, while six other people were injured, due to the explosion that caused damage to doors and windows of buildings near the police headquarters in the city bordering Ecuador. KENYAN POLICE FORCE TRAVEL TO HAITI TOMORROW

A group of Kenyan troops will travel to Haiti tomorrow to help the National Police combat the gangs that are causing chaos in the Caribbean nation today. “The departure is on Tuesday of this week, preparations are underway for the team to leave for Haiti,” confirmed a high-ranking police source, on condition of anonymity.
