Havana, June 24 (RHC) Franklin Castro, general secretary of the Postal Union of the Americas, Spain and Portugal (UAEP), visited the OSDE Correos de Cuba headquarters this Monday, as part of the activities of his visit to the island , which will run until June 27.
Accompanied by Álvaro Psetizki, head of Administration and Finance of that regional postal organization, the representative of the UPAEP, held a meeting with Mayra Arevich Martín, Minister of Communications, Correos de Cuba reported on its website.
At the meeting, the visitor was offered detailed information about the particularities of business management and the services, both own and third-party, that the Cuban postal organization currently provides.
Pablo Julio Pla Feria, president of Correos de Cuba, explained that the Business Group works intensely on the modernization of the Cuban postal service, on processes supported by the automation of operations, the digital transformation of the units and the diversification of services. with particular emphasis on financial and parcel services, a strategy that includes the conclusion of contracts with other state and private economic actors in the country and abroad.
As part of his stay in the Antillean nation, Castro will tour the International Messaging and Exchange Company (EMCI), and will participate in the UPAEP Remuneration and Costs Workshop, which will take place in Varadero from June 26 to 28.
Also participating in the exchange were Ariel Santana Santiesteban and Rubén Morales Enamorado, vice presidents of Correos de Cuba; Liber Labrada Suárez and Francisco Herrera Núñez, directors of Marketing and Business, and of International Relations and Foreign Trade, respectively; and other directors of this Business Group.
