Panchito: the moving story of the little dog who accompanies a couple from Santo Tomé
The story of the dog Panchito is worth telling because not only is he a pet for his owners, but he came to the home in February of this year to display love that acted as therapy for Rosa and Carlos, immersed in pain after the crime of one of his children, on June 26, 2023, on the corner of a bowling alley, on Freyre and Gobernador Vera avenues in the city of Santa Fe.

Carlos Valdéz, 27, was murdered by several gunshots in the early hours of Monday, June 26, 2023. His mother Rosa, a retired janitor and centralized kitchen worker, and Carlos, a municipal worker in Santo Tomé, both about 64 years, they were plunged into sadness and their daughter Celeste sought help.
“My mother had panic attacks and my father had suffered a heart attack before my brother’s death. I consulted with a psychologist who recommended that I give them a little animal. I rescued Panchito in Santa Fe. The boy is her son. My “Mom was always in bed and since Panchito arrived, my mom got up to cook him a grilled breast,” Celeste said in an interview with AIR.

They are looking for Panchito in Santo Tomé
Panchito has been accompanying the couple since February 2024. This Monday, like every day, he left the house he lives in Victoria Ocampo between Dorrego and Lavalle, to walk around the neighborhood but did not return.
Around 9:30 Rosa got up to look for him, but they did not find him again. Panchito’s family can share only one photo, because two months ago Carlos was attacked and his cell phone where he had current photos of his dog was stolen.
