A total of 16 bishops representing the eight pastoral regions in which the Argentine Episcopal Conference (CEA) met, between June 17 and 20, with the desire to share moments of formation, rest and prayer, at the Villa Allende House, Córdoba.

These meetings were initiated by Monsignor Carlos Franzini from the Episcopal Commission of Ministries (CEMIN), and have been carried out annually for ten years. The objective is the ongoing training of pastors, to better serve the people of God entrusted to them.

The archbishop participated Jorge Lozano (Saint John,) and the bishops Luis Martin (Santa Rosa – La Pampa), Alejandro Benna (Upper Valley of the Río Negro), Adolfo Larregain OFM (current auxiliary), José María Arancibia (emeritus of Mendoza), Marcelo Mazzitelli (Mendoza auxiliary), Guillermo Caride (coadjutor of San Isidro), Daniel Fernandez (Jujuy), Carlos Tissera (Quilmes), Martin Fassi (San Martin), José María Baliña (emeritus of Mar del Plata), Dante Braida (The Rioja), Raul Pizarro (auxiliary of San Isidro) and Ricardo Seirutti (auxiliary of Córdoba).

On this occasion, exceptionally, the members of the Jeremías Group encouraged the reflection, whose mission is to accompany priests and bishops in order to achieve comprehensive health. Specifically, they addressed matters relating to the comprehensive health of the episcopal ministry in the context of current culture.

On Monday there was a spontaneous sharing. While the five companions of the Jeremías group (Alicia Savanti, Maite Arriola, Juan Pablo Dreidemie, Gerardo Söding and Pepe Vallarino) spoke, on Tuesday and Wednesday, on “Approaches from the human-affective to face cultural challenges”, “The theology and teaching of the episcopal ministry” and “A spirituality for epochal change.”

On Tuesday the 18th, they contextually analyzed the return of a survey carried out to the bishops on the main concerns about the quality of their own health and its causes, and also participated in the funeral mass of Monsignor Jose Rovaianother of the promoters of these meetings.
