Corpamag, the CIM Caribe Marine Research Center Foundation and the SAS Marine Life Center (Rodadero Aquarium) signed a new inter-institutional agreement to advance the protection of marine life.

This will last for eight months and is intended for the protection and management of threatened species, as well as the continuity of the operation of the place where care, assessment and rehabilitation is provided to animals that require it within the department of Magdalena.

Alfredo Martínez Gutiérrez, General Director of Corpamag, said that “with the signing of this agreement we ratify the commitment to marine biodiversity and “We remain committed to the rescue, recovery and release of the different species of the sea.”

This alliance contemplates the implementation of protocols for the reception and rescue of specimens of wild, marine or aquatic fauna that are in risk situations, provision of medical care and specialized assessment to rescued specimens, ensuring accurate diagnoses and appropriate treatments, development and execution of treatment plans and personalized rehabilitation for each species with the aim of restoring their health and well-being.
