The President of the General Assembly of the United Nations Organization (UN), Dennis Francis, arrived in Cuba this Thursday with the objective of reviewing the progress and contribution of the country to multilateralism, cooperation, and ongoing regional and global challenges.

Havana Cuba. – The president of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), Dennis Francis, arrived in Cuba this Thursday with the objective of reviewing the country’s progress and contribution to multilateralism, cooperation, and ongoing regional and global challenges. .

Upon arrival, the official indicated that his visit is part of the organization’s agenda to also examine the continued active commitment of the Caribbean nation in the United Nations.

The diplomat was received by the interim director of Multilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ana Silvia Rodríguez, and will meet with President Miguel Díaz-Canel, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez and the Minister of Public Health, José Ángel Portal.

Francis’ itinerary also includes a conference in the Aula Magna of the University of Havana on the topic Cuba and multilateralism: opportunities and challenges.
