The Atlantic Under-19 National Team qualified early this Tuesday for the semifinals of the National Championship, organized by the Amateur Division of Colombian Soccer (Difútbol).

The ticket was reached in Manizales by beating local Caldas 2-1, in the match that closed the second date of the final phase.

Once again, as happened on Monday when they beat Valle del Cauca, the Atlantic team had to come back after the Caldenses scored in the 27th minute through Frank Ruiz.

The tie came with an own goal in the last play of the first half, when a shot by Sebastián Martínez deflected off a defender and went into the goal.

At 4 minutes into the complementary stage, scorer Daniel Castillo appeared to score the winning goal, by diving to the ground inside the area to anticipate the goalkeeper and connect the ball with his right foot after a pass he received from the middle of the field. .

The Junior striker already has three goals in two games, after his double against the Valle del Cauca team.

In the absence of a date, Atlántico is the leader of Group A with 6 units. Valle is second with 3, after beating Huila 4-2. Caldenses and Huilenses have one point each.

The team led by coach Erick Guerrero will rest on Wednesday and will face Huila on Thursday.

That day it will also be decided whether in the semifinals they will face Bogotá or Antioquia, who have already secured qualification for Group B.
