In a gesture of recognition of police effectiveness, Mayor Carlos Pinedo Cuello gave food vouchers to six prominent members of the National Police of Santa Marta, in recognition of those who have managed to neutralize and capture those responsible for recent robberies at banking entities in the city.
The District president highlighted the work of the agents who participated in the operations, which resulted in the capture of one of the perpetrators of the so-called “taquillazos.”
In addition, he highlighted the successful rescue of a woman kidnapped by these same criminals, highlighting the commitment and bravery of those in uniform in the fight against crime.
Likewise, Pinedo Cuello emphasized that the incentives given are not in cash, but in purchase bonuses, which can reach up to one million pesos, depending on the achievements obtained by the agents.
It should be noted that this measure is part of a series of actions adopted by the district administration, in order to strengthen security in Santa Marta, in a context of concern about crime among the population and local authorities.
With this initiative, they reaffirm their commitment to offering a safer city for residents and visitors, encouraging the exceptional performance of security forces in the protection and well-being of the Samaria community.
