Also present were: Giorgio Faddapresident of the International Bartenders Association (IBAfor its acronym in English); Eddis Naranjo, president of the Cuban Bartenders Association; Rafa MalempHonorary Resident of the Cuban Bartenders Association; eitherafter IBA personalities and authorities of related entities with the world of cocktails.
Mr. Jose Carlos de Santiagopresident of Excelencias Groupin his capacity as vice president of the Ibero-American Academy of Gastronomy, delivered the appointment that declares Havana as the Ibero-American Capital of Cocktails. In his words, De Santiago expressed: This organization, with a history of one hundred years, has placed this country on the world map of cocktails. It is essential to recognize that since 1924, Cuban bartenders have carried the title with pride and excellence.
