The Colombia selection confirmed its favoritism in the Conmebol Copa América by beating Costa Rica 3-0 this Friday, June 28, in a match on date 2 of group D.
The national team won thanks to goals from Luis Díaz, Dávinson Sánchez and Jhon Córdoba.

With this victory, Colombia consolidated its position in first place in Group D by reaching six points and practically ensuring its qualification to the quarter-finals.
During the match, those led by Néstor Lorenzo had a very high performance, but without a doubt Dávinson Sánchez, James Rodríguez and Jhon Córdoba were the great figures.

Camilo Vargas (6): They didn’t demand him for the whole match. He kept a clean sheet.
Daniel Muñoz (6): He did his job defensively, but at times he abused his confidence by trying to get out with the ball under control when he should have passed the ball to a teammate.
Carlos Cuesta (7): He showed great quality in the defensive zone. He was confident in the aerial game and precise in the first pass to give the team an outlet.
Davinson Sanchez (7.5): He was the great leader of the Colombian defense. He won the duels at the back and contributed in attack. He scored the partial 2-0 with a superb header.
Johan Mojica (6): The left back had a great attitude, but little precision when going down the wing.
Jefferson Lerma (7): Colombia’s main midfielder once again put in a standout performance. Lerma was orderly and precise in the centre of the pitch.
Richard Ríos (5): Despite showing energy and attitude, they were imprecise and uninvolved in the first half. It wasn’t his best presentation.
John Arias (6)The midfielder did his job. He sacrificed himself in defence by forming a line of three alongside Lerma and Ríos. But he bent to attack.
James Rodriguez (7): He was once again instrumental in Colombia’s victory. He provided an assist for Jhon Córdoba’s goal. He contributed sacrifice and all his talent to the team.
Luis Diaz (7): With his speed and cunning on the left flank he was unbalanced. He scored and created several chances.
Jhon Córdoba (8): He was the great figure for Colombia in the match. He single-handedly caused the Costa Rican defense to lose control. He was awarded a penalty and scored a goal.
Changes
Matheus Uribe (6): He came on as a substitute in the second half. He kept order in the centre of the pitch.
Kevin Castaño (5): He had few minutes, but he was active and tried to be the axis in the centre of the pitch. He had a chance to score with a mid-distance shot.
Yaser Asprilla (6): He played 15 minutes and in a short time he showed himself to be the great generational change of the Colombian National Team. He tried to shoot from outside the area repeatedly.
Jhon Jader Durán (5): He came on in the final minutes with the game already decided. He tried to offer himself as a passing option.
Rafael SANtos Borré (4): participated for 10 minutes, and did not have a great role. He gave air to the team.
