Garitano on the PJ Chubut elections: “We aspire to put together a congress and council with a different vision”

With just over two months to go before the party authorities of the Chubut district of the Justicialist Party are defined, the necessary endorsements are beginning to be gathered for the lists to be presented in the elections, after the affiliation period has passed, and in the case of Puerto Madryn they estimate around 700 signatures to comply with the provisions of the organic charter.

“We are working with colleagues from all over the province to achieve a consensus list. We understand that the moment the party is going through generates an opening where all spaces are contained, and we aspire to create a congress and a council with a different vision than the one we have had in recent years to get away from these situations that bring us electoral defeats,” Federico Garitano, a member and leader of the Justicialist space “Gente de Madryn”, told EL CHUBUT.
In the search for a single consensus list with representation of all Chubut Justicialist spaces, trying to incorporate “more colleagues to the different leaderships, there are many things to correct, the organic charter deserves a profound modification and that is what we are working on . The next congress will have to be responsible for carrying it out, since setting up a Single District is quite complex.”
Garitano mentioned that both the deputy Gustavo Fita and the mayor of Comodoro Othar Macharasvili have the possibility of leading the PJ, but it will then be the council who will define. “We must look for a leadership that has references in the different areas of the province, that has its voice and expresses its militants’ concerns and the way is to reach a consensus,” he assured.
“The party as it is structured must have a president, but we can aspire to have a political consultation table where colleagues from different areas participate, and to expose the situation of its members in this difficult moment that we Argentines have to live through, and specifically the people of Chubut, and to have expectations of having a good election in 2025 and returning to victory in 2027,” said the Madryn councilor for the Arriba Chubut alliance, reiterating the necessary openness and serious debates within the party, with the renewal of figures and authorities in these political times.
