The governor specifically referred to the Statement by Laudelina Peñawho reportedly told a provincial prosecutor that her nephew could have been run over. Accompanied by her lawyer Jose Codazzi and her daughter Macarena, the woman left after 10 pm after testifying in the case of the 5-year-old boy.
“Laudelina testified both before the Attorney General’s Office and before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Corrientes, and would have narrated what the events of the Loan Case were like,” Valdés wrote.
He then stressed: “All actions taken are being sent to the Federal Court for it to proceed in accordance with the law.”

Laudelina Peña, wife of Antonio Benítez, one of those detained for the disappearance of the child, called a meeting and confessed to a provincial prosecutor that Loan “could have been run over” by the former municipal official Maria Victoria Caillava and the captain of the Argentine Navy Carlos perezwho were aboard a van White Ford Ranger.
In this way, the investigation is added to the hypothesis that Loan had been run over and they hid his body.
