Villa Clara activated its Summer Mode in the Falcón-Miller Popular Council of the municipality of Placetas.
The Provincial Governor Milaxy Yanet Sánchez Armas, accompanied by the first secretary of the Union of Young Communists in Villa Clara, Hermes Germán Aguilera Pérez and the local authorities, toured the space intended for the celebration and confirmed the wide variety of gastronomic offers for children and girls.
The celebration brought the renowned children’s theatre company Colibrí, directed by art instructor Saraday Medina Díaz de Villegas, to the town’s central platform.
For more than half an hour, people were able to enjoy the performance of Cucarachita Martina, poems and songs that captured the attention of the locals.
The beginning of summer in Falcón coincides with the local party festivals and the fraternal confrontation of the Sagua and Jagüeyes neighborhoods with the celebration of their traditional changüises.
On her tour of the main arteries of the district, the Villa Clara Governor visited the Family Care System (SAF) and there sat down to talk with one of the benefited grandparents: «How is the lunch, tasty? asked Sánchez Armas, while inquiring about the quality of the service. Later she stopped at the Pharmacy, the La Perla Industrial Market and the El Puente Night Center, also to inquire about the services they currently offer to the population.
Simultaneously, casino dancing was held throughout Villa Clara, an initiative organized by the Provincial Center of Cultural Houses.
Summer Mode in Villa Clara, as in all of Cuba, focuses its holiday activities on the neighborhood. Parks, plazas and public spaces will once again invite everyone to participate in artistic creation workshops and sports activities for the enjoyment of each age group and the family in general. Summer Mode is not only fun, but an opportunity to praise our culture and traditions.
