The Neuquén Exhibition and Convention Center has an opening date

The opening of the multi-space was announced for August 29. The governor announced a period of new projects and works in the province.

Governor Rolando Figueroa, along with provincial officials and representatives of the construction company Roque Mocciola, today toured the construction site of the Exhibition and Convention Center being built on Island 132 in the capital of Neuquén, and its inauguration was estimated for August 29.

The president recognized the work of the company developing the work and announced that with the inauguration of this space, the start of many works is expected and “throughout this period we will develop projects to obtain financing and also to generate transparent tenders to “That many companies can present themselves to build this new Neuquén.”

The space will have a capacity of more than 1,500 people and will have a significant and extensive infrastructure for holding events.

“It is a very important work for Neuquén capital as a destination and I think it gives life to a work that the mayor (Mariano Gaido) has been planning. It is an emblematic work in terms of the possibility of highlighting this entire island and the city of Neuquén,” said the governor.

He added that he has a good impression of the progress of the construction and highlighted the predisposition of the Mocciola company and the technical staff of the province that participated in the work.

The governor recalled that about 40% of this work remained to be financed and celebrated the agreement reached with the construction company to complete the building in a short time.

The Minister of Infrastructure, Rubén Etcheverry, confirmed the ribbon cutting of this space for August 29, when the Edifica Neuquén 2024 exhibition will take place – from August 29 to 31. He added that it has advanced according to the schedule of execution and maintained that “we hope that all Neuquéns come to enjoy, to gather and learn a little about what we are doing to build, every day, a better Neuquén.”

Domingo Mocciola said that the Convention and Exhibition Center on Island 132 “is a work with very particular characteristics” and described the project as “unprecedented for the region and the country.”

He explained that it is a 3,640 m2 work, with two large rooms of 650 and 750 m2 as an event room. And then the other room, acoustic and with state-of-the-art details, will be able to receive a total of 1,500 people with their respective parking spaces.

Regarding the progress of the works, Mauro Ramírez, inspector of the works, said that “the landscaping work was carried out and will be finished this week; the asphalting of the streets was finished, public lighting is being installed in the area of ​​the bike path on island 132 that passes by the north side of the building, and the coverings, fixtures and floors of the bathrooms are being installed.”

The Ministers of Economy, Production and Industry, Guillermo Koenig; the President ad honorem of Upefe, Tanya Bertoldi, and the Secretary of Public Works, Tania Coletti, participated in the activity.

The complementary works at the Exhibition and Convention Center are progressing at a good pace. They are building a parking lot, water and sewage network, medium voltage electrical network, lighting, fiber optics, storage under the steps, generator room and embankment filling.

The road infrastructure guarantees a correct integration of the building with its surroundings, including earthworks, landscaping, irrigation system and lighting of the cycle path that borders the northern sector, through the installation of lights and their connection to the electrical grid. In addition, the execution of green spaces in the parking lot and its corresponding irrigation system.

Through the agreement signed on May 10, between the president, ad honorem, of the Provincial Unit for Liaison and Execution of Projects with External Financing, Tanya Bertoldi, with the company that carries out the complementary work and the completion date was agreed of the work.

The Exhibition and Convention Center has two main rooms that have mobile acoustic panels to be able to subdivide them into smaller rooms, it also has a cafeteria, warehouse, administration and service areas, outside it has a parking lot, public plaza and areas outdoor exposure. It is a strategic building to position the Confluencia region as a host destination for events and conventions.
