In a joint effort to improve the living conditions of coffee-growing families in the municipality of Colombia, Huila, Mayor Arbey Vargas Manguera and the Executive Director of the Departmental Committee of Coffee Growers of Huila, Edna Yolima Calderón Ome, have entered into an important agreement.

Several works, mainly sewers in sections with difficult conditions for road traffic, will be built in the rural area of Colombia Huila thanks to the investment of resources from the coffee union.

The main objective is to combine technical, administrative and financial efforts to improve the living conditions of coffee-growing families in the municipality, by maintaining the tertiary road network through the construction of 24″ sewers in critical sites.

This project will benefit approximately 300 coffee-growing families from the producing communities of this municipality in northern Huila, who are hampered by climatic and topographical difficulties in transporting their crops.
