San Juan animal welfare activists organized a charity parade to collect food for 120 homeless animals. Those interested in participating with their pets must bring a bag of food labeled, indicating whether it is for a cat or dog, as well as whether it is for a puppy or an adult. It is important to note that those who have an animal to give up for adoption can also bring it, since another objective of the event is for people interested in adopting to find their ideal pet.

In addition, there will be a stand from the Ministry of the Environment where information will be provided, as well as the possibility of deworming pets.

The parade is thematic in nature and that is why the organization invited participants to dress up their pets to spend a relaxed afternoon in the Parque de Mayo. The parade will begin around 3 p.m. next Sunday, June 30 in front of the Juan Victoria Auditorium.

Those people who, due to time constraints, have not been able to make a costume for their pets can rent or buy one on site, as there will be a stand run by Huellitas Fashonistas.

About the adoption procedure, Jessica Guardia, one of the organizers, spoke with HUARPE DIARY and explained that the animals will not be delivered on the same day. Those people who want to adopt a pet will have to write down their information so that protectionists can get in touch and thus coordinate the adoption.

The organizers took this measure after several occasions in which children tend to have a moment of infatuation with an animal that later ends up being abandoned. In this way, the protectionists ensure that the adoption process is completed.

Finally, they reminded attendees to bring the appropriate bag to pick up the feces and that each pet has its leash and collar.
