Alert due to the increase in Dengue cases in Cundinamarca: there are more than 7 thousand cases

On Friday, June 28, 2024, the San Pedro and San Pablo long weekend officially begins, the most important and with the greatest influx of tourists throughout the national territory within the framework of the mid-year school holidays. In the capital of the Republic, more than one million vehicles are expected to leave the city, which is why the relevant authorities and entities have already deployed the Exodus Plan in the main corridors of Bogotá.

This is the last Exodus Plan for mid-year holidays and around 8 pm on Friday, June 28, a high influx of private vehicles, public service vehicles and travelers bound for different towns in Cundinamarca is reported. However, no type of traffic jam or considerable impact on mobility has been recorded so far.

It is expected that at least one million sixty thousand vehicles will leave the capital of the Republic and around one million one hundred thousand vehicles will enter Bogotá. Faced with this situation, drivers assure that it is necessary to be patient to face the large influx of vehicles. In that sense, it is recommended to travel with caution.

Motorcyclists continue to be the most vulnerable road user, as 72% of fatal accidents involve motorcyclists, according to information provided by the National Road Safety Observatory based on statistics from the immediately preceding year, 2023.

In addition, more than 300 thousand passengers will travel through the main land terminals in Bogotá, mostly to Huila and Tolima. In terms of security, not to worry if you plan to travel on this holiday, the Bogotá Ombudsman’s Office has raised the alerts for scams in the sale of tourist packages. At least 400 people have been deceived so far this year. Find out all the details and more information in the following note.
