A violent sequence was recorded in the town of Saint Just, Santa Feafter it was learned that an out-of-control driver was arrested by the police after running over a gas station employee and trying to escape without paying for a fuel charge. The victim was treated for the injuries he suffered and, fortunately, is out of danger.

The sequence became known on Friday, when the images and recording of the crash were broadcast in the local media, where the moment in which the crash occurred was recorded. The driver of a 4×4-style truck hit a worker at the service station located on Route 11 and 9 de Julio.

Although the attack caused several injuries, the victim saved his own life by running and preventing the vehicle from hitting him. The video even shows how another of the employees was at risk, since he was a few meters away from his colleague.

As a result of the impact, a toll booth and the store’s glass were destroyed. At the moment, it was not known what charges he would face for the incidents caused.

Through the security camera records of the place, the chase and subsequent accident occurred after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. However, the incident began minutes before at another service station located at the intersection between Route 11 and Jorge Neme, that is, almost a kilometer and a half away.

According to the reconstruction carried out by the local media Santa Fe Air, the man loaded fuel at the location and refused to pay the debt. Faced with this, the beachgoer who had served him tried to write down the vehicle’s details to make a later charge, which would have aroused the driver’s fury.

Witnesses to the incident stated that the accused became violent, so he discharged himself when he collided with the blindex glass of the minimarket. In this way, the detainee began his escape towards the north of the city, while the employees reported what happened to the authorities.

Instantly, several police vehicles began to follow the driver, who tried to mislead them by turning near the Parador Hotel and changing his direction towards the south. Seconds later, the man made another dangerous maneuver by turning onto Nicolás Figueredo and continuing along the route.

Finally, the chase ended with a crash and destruction of the facilities of the second service station, where he ran over the beachgoer, which allowed local agents to arrest him. The man was identified by his initials JAOsince the prosecutor Guillermo Persello of Fiscal Unit I decided to preserve their personal data.

In the case of the injured beachgoer, the owner of the damaged gas station, Ramiro Pedrazzoliconfirmed that he was out of danger. “He has bruises on his knee, he is undergoing tests in Santa Fe (capital) but he is fine”the employer detailed during a dialogue with the local press.

Regarding the damage caused, Pedrazzoli was not concerned about the expenses, pointing out that both the business and the driver of the van had contracted insurance. He even revealed that the detainee is a well-known person in the town by mentioning that he knew where he worked.

“We don’t know what happened to him, if he was suffering from depression or under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” said the owner of the service station. Likewise, he said that the person responsible for the destruction was treated by the medical staff of the Cullen Hospitalwho claimed that he had suffered multiple trauma and head trauma.
