Meanwhile, negotiations between the social security company and the employers will resume next Tuesday at the headquarters of the social security company. “Now it remains to agree on the rates for the months of June and July,” added Pinilla.

On Friday afternoon, the entity that brings together a group of funeral homes in the province of Santa Fe reported that it was suspending the service to members of the provincial social work due to the lack of agreement regarding the value of the benefits. While the provincial government warned that its members have agreements with other funeral business associations, and guaranteed the service.

What the government says about the situation of funeral companies

In this regard, the provincial government indicated that funeral companies had, until May, a 96% increase in their services and in June they were granted another increase to complete a 100% adjustment, although it was not the one expected by all providers. Furthermore, the government highlighted that Iapos has agreements with other associations or funeral companies, so the member will not be left without the service.

In the negotiations for the month of July, the funeral homes had requested a 10% increase, which was rejected by the social work administration. Faced with this scenario, the companies decided to suspend services.
