Authorities reported on Saturday that the body of Clifford Allan Wilke, a 66-year-old American citizen who lived in New York, was found. The foreigner was found at the Dann Carlton Hotel, in an exclusive area of Medellín. So far in 2024, this would be the 30th foreigner to die in Medellín under similar circumstances.

Police sources reported that the body of the 66-year-old American was found around 5 a.m. on Saturday. Although, authorities say, the man did not show any signs of violence. In addition, the hotel staff said they realized the foreigner was dead because he had already had to leave the room.
When the staff went to verify the situation, they found the man’s body, without clothes and lying on the bed. For now, authorities are not clear what could have happened to Wilke.
The only thing that is known, for now, is that he entered the room alone on the night of June 27 and did not come out again. In addition, it was learned that several medications were found in the foreigner’s room.
