The value of the Vehicle Technical Verification (VTV), a mandatory procedure for all drivers who have vehicles located in the province of Buenos Aires, rose again during June, and completed a 115% adjustment in recent months.
According to a resolution from the Buenos Aires Ministry of Transportation, the VTV that until the end of May cost $27,624.93 for vehicles up to 2,500 kilograms, rose to $34,531.17, that is, 25% more. But if the value that was in effect until April is taken, the adjustment was 115%.
With the new values, vehicles weighing more than 2,500 kilos will have to pay $62,156 (VAT included); trailers, semi-trailers and trailers up to 2500 Kg $20,718 and trailers, semi-trailers and trailers over 2500 Kg $31,078.
Meanwhile, since June the rate for motorcycle vehicles of more than 50cc and up to 200cc must pay $13,812, for between 200cc and up to 600cc $20,718 and more than 600cc a total of $27,624.
It should be remembered that in January, the Government of Axel Kicillof had increased the price of VTV and in that case it took it to 62% after half a year without updating it.
The new update of the VTV cost “is a fair price with maintenance of the economic-financial equation that allows the sustainability of the system,” according to the resolution’s recitals.
