Two motorcyclists were injured after colliding with a car at a roundabout on the border between Chimbas and the capital. A police officer was in the larger vehicle, and the cause of the accident is now being investigated.

According to what police sources reported, the road accident occurred on the afternoon of this Friday the 28th in the area of ​​the Benavidez Avenue and Salta Street roundabout, on the border between Chimbas and Capital.

A woman named Castro, married, 36 years old, residing in Chimbas, was driving a gray Volkswagen car in this area. This motorist was accompanied by a man named Molina who works as a police officer at the Second Police Station of Concepción. In addition, there were two girls, ages five and ten.

The other vehicle was a blue Motomel 150 cc motorcycle in which a 25-year-old man with the surname Velásquez and another 21-year-old man with the surname Elizondo were traveling.

After the impact, the occupants of the motorcycle had to be transferred to the Doctor Guillermo Rawson Hospital. The staff of the Special Crimes Unit, headed by Sebastián Gómez, became aware of the incident and arranged the first interventions.

Among the evidence measures, a visual inspection was carried out and the Traffic personnel performed an alcohol test on the driver of the vehicle. In addition, they requested a blood test to detect if the drivers consumed alcohol. Camera surveys were also carried out. Personnel from the Chimbas Communal Police intervened in the incident with the presence of Corporal Herrera and the driver Flavio Godoy.
