An earthquake of 4.3 degrees on the Richter scale, which occurred just 7 kilometers south of the city of Santiago de Cuba, was noticeable in several locations in the eastern region of the country, according to a note published by the National Center of Seismological Investigations.

According to the information, “the network of stations of the Cuban National Seismological Service recorded an earthquake reported as perceptible at 10:54 am local time, located at the coordinates 19.95 degrees north latitude and -75.83 degrees west longitude, at a depth of 25.5 km.

Although the earthquake was noticeably felt in the Hero City, at the time of writing this information, no material or human damage was reported. The same thing happens in the places in the provinces of Santiago de Cuba, Guantánamo, Granma and Holguín where the perceptible earthquake No. 9 of the year 2024 was perceptible.
