Rosario (Argentina) (EFE).- The Argentine president, Javier Milei, launched this Thursday an unprecedented call to the country’s entire political leadership to sign the ‘May Pact’ on July 9 in Tucumán, within the framework of the commemoration of Argentina’s independence, a founding document that the president describes as a historical turning point.
For the pact, which would be signed after the final approval of key reforms such as the ‘Bases Law’ and the fiscal package, Milei has summoned all the political authorities, governors of the Argentine provinces, leaders of the main parties, former presidents of the Nation , the members of the Supreme Court of Justice, businessmen, workers “and of course all Argentine citizens.”
“I hope that this year will be remembered in Argentina as the turning point that will make us great again,” added Milei, who led the celebrations for Flag Day in the city of Rosario, on the eve of next week the Chamber of Deputies sanction a package of key reforms for his Government.
