Star Wars is living a second life since Lucasfilm was acquired by Disney and received a new trilogy of films, although since then only more stories have happened, and not only in the cinema. The arrival of the Disney+ streaming platform has meant the production of a ton of series, both live action and animatedwith Star Wars: Chronicles of the Empire being the latest surprise.
For lovers of live action, Star Wars: The Acolyte will be the next release in the saga to tell the era of the High Republic, which lasted about 200 years with the Galactic Republic at its peak and the Jedi living their golden age. However, Skeleton Crew is destined to be a revolution, now offering new details.
In a recent interview with Variety, Kerry Condonknown for appearing in Banshees of Inisherin (2022), Captain America: Civil War (2016) and Danny the Dog (2005) before Skeleton Crew, has praised the cast of the series and its teamanticipating a “truly adventurous” story. “He’s great,” she confesses. “I don’t even have kids, but I would pay to see this. I loved it. I loved being in it. There was something about it that was so innocent and funny and charming.”
“People say don’t work with kids or animals, but I don’t know anything about that. When kids are good actors, they’re out of this world. So seeing some of the kids’ scenes, it was amazing“, anticipates the actress, who also mentions the high level of directors of the series: the Daniels, Bruce Dallas Howard, Lee Isaac Cheung, David Lowery.
What to expect from Skeleton Crew
Skeleton Crew will narrate How a group of children lost in the galaxy try to find their way home in the era of the New Republic, taking place after Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi and during The Mandalorian. The protagonist of the series will be Jude Law (Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets) in an unknown role, being directed by Jon Wattsresponsible for the Spider-Man trilogy of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, who refused to direct the Fantastic Four of the UCM to join this project that will have eight episodes.
