In ‘Cuarto Milenio’, Cuatro’s space presented by Iker Jiménez, they wanted to talk about the curse of the film by telling a story unknown to most people, that of the death of Mary Ure. “The most terrifying movie of all time. There are a couple of things I want to tell you. (…) It caused an enormous psychic and mental impact on a global level. Even ambulances had to be outside the cinemas for what could occur inside. For me, the masterpiece of terror,” said Jimnez.
“Fifty years ago, something happened that many of you will not know about. We have told you about the supposed curse of ‘The Exorcist’… There are deaths, suicides, etc. (…) We are going to tell you an incredible storybut real”, in this way the presenter of the Mediaset space introduced the story.

“London Comedy Theatre, April 1975. A substitute actress… This is how this chronicle begins.” Carmen Porter was at the program table to give more details about Mary Ure’s life. After the premiere of ‘The Exorcist’, taking advantage of the popularity of the film and the genre, a play called ‘The Exorcism’ was released.a work that in a certain way “drank a little from the whole fashion for demonic movies and novels and the psychosis that was out there,” Porter explained.

A few weeks later, Mary went to a party after a performance. Her husband left a few hours early because he had a shoot very soon the next day. “The next day, tragic news.
