For whatever reason, ‘Lake House 2’ is not being considered
One of the funniest and most absurd mistakes in Hollywood history was thinking that without a doubt ‘Speed’ needed a sequel. Not only that: a sequel on a speeding boat and without Keanu Reeves. What’s more, they believed in it so much that they took the script (already advanced) from ‘The Jungle 2’ to use it here, in a birbibirloque that the public did not buy. But more than 25 years have passed since that and everyone has forgotten its existence…But not the one from the first ‘Speed’. Something has to be done with that.
At full speed
Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves have always stated that they are very, very friends. And you can see it: Their chemistry crossed the screen in the two films they starred in together (‘Speed’ and ‘The Lake House’) and now the ‘John Wick’ singer has gone to the 50MPH podcast, dedicated exclusively to ‘Speed’ (watch out for that), with Bullock again. And there they said that, indeed, they would be happy to work hand in hand again. In what? Well, what will it be: “With ‘Speed 3,’ I mean, you know: we would absolutely love it“. And faced with the decision to work together again, the actress has not backed down.
There is no formula. It just is. Before we die, before we leave this planet, I think Keanu and I need to do something in front of the camera. Will we be in wheelchairs or with walkers? Maybe. Will we be on little scooters at Disneyland?
Reeves concludes by saying that “It feels like a siren song, like there’s something that wasn’t done. I would love to work with you again before your eyes close.“. Both are at an enviable moment in their careers, even better than in the 90s, so… Has the time come to put them back on a bus that couldn’t go any slower to celebrate your 30th anniversary?
