Marvel Studios announces a major change in strategy for its series and movies

There is no doubt that Marvel Studios is one of the most important firms in the film industry today, maintaining a validity important and enjoying great popularity.

However, it is also no secret that for some time now their numbers are going down with the recent releases, both of series and movies, being far from their best moments and in a tailspin.

This has been widely addressed by executives of the study headed by Kevin Feige, as well as being considered within the main reports and topics of The Walt Disney Company.

According to the reports, the managers’ analyzes point to the way to create and launch contentmainly questioning calendar density with many deliveries and without considerable windows between one and the other.

Faced with this, and with a clear solution, the executive director of Disney, Bob Iger, announced significant changes in strategy that will follow the Marvel Cinematic Universe (UCM) for its premieres.

As expected, the central idea is reduce the number of launches in a year, adjusting a roadmap that, although it generates expectations for its titles, the way of bringing it to the screens does not seem to be the best. They will aim at the quality over quantity.

“We are going to slowly reduce the volume and move on to probably about two television series a year instead of the four that were, and we will reduce our film production from about four a year to two, or a maximum of three. And we are working hard on what that path is,” commented the company’s CEO.

Now we just have to wait to see if this change in Marvel Studios’ planning bears the expected results, also considering how much it could continue to postpone some releases over the years.
