Daisy Ridley will play Rey again in a new ‘Star Wars’ movie. The actress was the protagonist of the last trilogy and is now immersed in a new installment of the universe created by George Lucas. For this new film, Ridley has reiterated that she loves John Boyega: “Absolutely, of course. It seems like we should do it, yeah” said the actress about the possible return of her partner.
Boyega played Finn, a First Order soldier turned rebel, in the final three Galaxy Far, Far Away films. Ridley is betting on the return of his partner for this film, which would be set 15 years later from ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ and will be directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (‘Ms. Marvel’).
Among the rumors surrounding the project, there is a lot of talk about whether Boyega will appear playing Finn again, other things come into play because during the last trilogy he experienced certain moments that were sensitive to Jedi powers and he even wielded a lightsaber in ‘Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens’.

“There’s a huge need for original films, rather than being stuck in a franchise for a long time playing one character. That sometimes gets you typecast and looked down upon. “I’m enjoying playing unique characters and having to do the work of changing with each film.”
