The sequel, which hits theaters on June 19, is less ambitious than the original film
The problem with sequels is real: with a few exceptions, they never manage to equal or surpass the original film. toy storyremoving the fourth installment, is an example of what can be achieved. Inside out 2 arrives in theaters nine years after its predecessor: the 19th of June. History has again Riley as the protagonist, but now the protagonist is in full puberty. The emotions we met in the first installment – Anger, Joy, Sadness, Fear and Disgust – are joined by some new ones: Anxiety, Ennui, Shame and Envy.

Pixar Joy and Anxiety in ‘Inside Out 2’
TO Inside out 2 “there is no shortage of good ideas” and it has “very cool” news like a prison for embarrassing memories. The film also plays with the animation style depending on the type of repressed memory, “which are also quite fun.”
However, this sequel mirrors the first installment and the narrative is too similar:
The least problem is that it works as a mirror of the first because it tries to rhyme too much, in such a way that the dramatic adventure is tremendously similar to that of the first film
On the other hand, Inside out 2 is “more schematic and simpler” than the first. The original film “was a global portrait of a girl’s emotions. It was much more ambitious. This is like an adventure, an anecdotal adventure: a summer camp for the protagonist. Everything is simpler, everything is very controlled.”
Despite this problem, Inside out 2 “it does manage to weave that basic emotion into which, in some way, one has to treat oneself better in order to be able to cope with the changes that life puts before us.”
Definitely, “It is a fun movie, it is a good movie for children and adults or for us all to experience together, but we are not going to find Reverse“.
