The horror saga A peaceful place returns at the end of June this year with A quiet place: Day 1 (A Quiet Place: Day One)the film that will explain the origin of the alien invasion and that will serve to lay the foundations of the universe established by John Krasinski.
In 2018, John Krasinski premiered the striking A peaceful place (A Quiet Place)in which he, together with Emily Bluntgave life to a couple that had to survive an alien invasion in the forest.
The peculiar thing is that these creatures lacked sight but had very acute hearing, so their characters had to avoid speaking loudly or making sounds that could alert the invasive species of their presence.
The film became such a success that three years later John Krasinski continued after the end of his film through A quiet place 2 (A Quiet Place: Part II)with Cillian Murphy joining the cast. But the new installment of the saga separates itself from the previous ones in many aspects.
Who is behind A Quiet Place: Day 1 and how it is situated in the chronology
John Krasinski left the direction to make way for Jeff Nicholsalthough he remained involved in the project as a producer alongside Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller. However, Jeff Nichols’ creative differences with the rest of the crew ended up causing him to leave the film and Michael Sarnoski would replace him in the direction.
The cast of the new film will change almost completely, since A quiet place: Day 1 It will not be a third installment but a prequel that will take us back in time, to the day it all began, and “bloodthirsty alien creatures with ultrasonic ears” invaded New York City.
In it we will have as protagonist Samembodied by Lupita Nyong’oand we will also see Joseph Quinn as Eric, Alex Wolff as Rubenand Eliane Umuhire. Besides Djimon Hounsouthe actor who gave life to Henry in A quiet place: Day 1will be back in this prequel giving life to the same character.

Will A Quiet Place: Day 1 be a hit at the box office?
The first installment of the saga had a budget of 17 million dollarsand raised almost 341 million box office. For its second part, much more was invested in the production, with a budget of between 55 and 61 million of dollars, and at the box office managed to raise about 297 million.
The expectations for A quiet place: Day 1 are that the film raises above the 40 million on the weekend of its release, figures that would be slightly below those obtained by the second film. A quiet place: Day 1 will hit theaters next Thursday June 27.
