It is evident that ‘Superman’ by James Gunn is one of the most anticipated films of 2025, and every day we receive new leaked images from its filming. We have already been able to see David Corenswet as the Man of Steel in action, even in motion, but today it is time to discover the look of Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Kal-El’s quintessential villain.

Gunn’s DC Universe kicks off with ‘Superman’

Nicholas Hoult, an Englishman who is only 34 years old, already has experience in superhero movies, although from the other side, in every sense. A 22-year-old Hoult played Hank McCoy (Beast) in ‘X Men First generation’, this time making the leap to becoming a villain in James Gunn’s DC Universe. In addition, he has also participated in numerous films, putting himself in the shoes of characters that are, at the very least, peculiar, from ‘Max Max: Fury Road’ to ‘The menu’going by ‘Reinfeld’or even playing the genius of fantastic literature in the biopic of ‘Tolkien’.

‘Superman’ premieres on July 25, 2025, being the first production live action of this James Gunn DC Universe that will really start at the end of this year, with the MAX premiere of the animated series ‘Creature Commandos’.
