New images of the movie Superman (2025) have been leaked and have revealed an iconic moment from the comics that reveals the tone that James Gunn is giving it.
The first images from the filming of the movie Superman (2025) In Cleveland we get a glimpse of the version of the DC Comics superhero that is being prepared James Gunn and it seems that it will be very different from what we saw with Zack Snyder. The leaked photos show David Corenswet in a more colorful and traditional suit, moving away from the dark and serious tone of Henry Cavill’s version. This new aesthetic seems to reflect a return to a Iron Man more hopeful and optimistic.
A leaked video shows Superman standing next to a tree, with his hands on his hips. Some fans who were present at the filming have claimed that this scene will show the hero rescuing a cat from a tree.
This scene contrasts sharply with Zack Snyder’s vision of Superman, who was often presented as a god on Earth. Henry Cavill’s version was always complex and morally ambiguous, and it’s unlikely we would have seen him saving a cat from a tree.

The leaks have generated excitement among fans as many are hoping for a Superman movie to be more classic and similar to the original comics. The success of shows like My Adventures of Superman and Superman & Lois indicates that audiences are ready for a more traditional hero.

This scene also fits with some of the plot leaks. Since the Superman (2025) movie is said to feature the hero’s early days, it’s only natural that he’d want to solve smaller problems like the feline rescue. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have the potential to become Earth’s greatest hero.
